How you can add $1M+/year with your newsletter
I did the math and what I found shocked me

I did the math on how to add $1M+ to your business with a newsletter.
And what I found shocked me.
Last week I went to the get food from the shop near where I live.
Some broadband salespeople where outside the entrance.
It got me thinking: "How many people need to walk past them for them to make $1,000, $10,000, etc?"
But then I asked myself: "How many subscribers equal $1M+/year?"
Let's reverse-engineer the system to add $1M/year with your newsletter
Here is the math for a B2B service business offering $2,500/month retainers:
$1,000,000 รท $30,000/year per client = 34 clients needed
That's it. Just 34.
And with typical retention rates, you're only looking at replacing about 7 clients annually.
Which means you need just 41 total sales per year to add $1M to your business.
But here's where things get interesting...
Most businesses are making this WAY harder than it needs to be.
Industry benchmarks for B2B services:
- Landing page to booked call: 2-5%
- Show-up rate for booked calls: 80%
- Sales call to closed deal: 20-30%
Working backwards from 41 clients at 25% close rate = 164 sales calls needed.
With an 80% show-up rate, that's 205 booked appointments.
At a 3% landing page conversion, you need just 6,833 landing page visitors per YEAR.
That's only 570 targeted visitors per month!
Now let's factor in the newsletter as your conversion engine:
- Newsletter to landing page click: 10-15%
With these conversion rates, you need 5,000 new subscribers/month
Before you think "that's crazy I'll never get that" keep reading...
First this is assuming worst case scenario
Essentially considering each subscriber only visits your landing page once
(highly unlikely considering weekly emails + other automated flows)
This is the most amount of subscribers/month you need to get your 41 sales a year.
Second, you can run ads to get 100% of the 5,000 subs
And cover the costs immediatly by monetising using 0-days payback strategies
(think paid recommendations, etc.)
It's not uncommon to get $4/sub with Meta ads for B2B (I've seen around $2-3/sub at times)
You can cover 90% of the cost on day 1, meaning...
You spend $2,000 in ad spend every month to make $1M/year
That's 40+:1 ROI.
A lot of statistics in fact show that newsletter and email marketing ROI is between 35:1 and 45:1.
